Mahindra recently announced that the new MPV that it'll launch will be called Marazzo and this name has been derived from a shark. Most of the design elements of the Marazzo have been inspired by this apex predator of the ocean. The company is all set to launch the car by the end of September and we'll be driving it soon too but things are going to be a little different as far as the Marazzo is concerned. While we weren't able to see the car in its entirety, Mahindra gave us a glimpse into what to expect from the car in terms of design.

The Marazzo will come with captain seats as an option and a roof mounted AC unit which will be a segment first offering. The company has also said that there will be a lot more features on offer but has not yet revealed much in terms of those. Mahindra also promises that the NVH levels in the car are in check and it will be an extremely quiet cabin. Well, we sure would like to find that out. Of course, the company has to cater to the global needs as well and considering the company's North American division, the Mumbai Design Centre and even Pininfarina were involved in shaping the Marazzo, Mahindra is looking to export the car to other markets as well.

The Indian carmaker already exports its products to markets like Sri Lanka, South Africa, Latin America, USA and even Bangladesh and Nepal. Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra and Mahindra said, "Yes we will export the Marazzo from India but we are not looking at any new markets for it. We are looking to introduce the product in the export markets that we currently sell our cars in but that too will depend on the demand in the market for such a product."
The company announced that it will introduce three new platforms this year and the first of which will form the base of the Marazzo. The company is also planning to launch the S201 and the G4 (Rexton) in India soon and we'll have all the details for you on both the cars.
