Hyundai is all set to launch the new generation of the Santro in India on October 24, 2018. It is the most anticipated of launches and while the company still hasn't revealed the name of the car, it's very likely going to be called the Santro, but we'll wait for the results on the poll the company started in September this year. The Santro will be unveiled tomorrow and of course, we'll have all the details for you but in the meanwhile, there are a few details that are pouring out and of course you saw some leaked images of the car too. So, while there's still a lot of suspense about what it will look like, what will be offered in terms of features and what will power it, there are a few hints that the company has given us and we got some additional inputs too.

Here's What To Expect From The Hyundai Santro
The Hyundai Santro will get a tall boy stance and the sketch that the company revealed recently gave us that hint. The sketch also reveals a sharp-looking compact car with a tallboy stance and a slightly sloping roofline and a muscular shoulder line.
- The Hyundai Santro will replace the Hyundai Eon as the company's entry-level car in its Indian line-up, and the car will go up against the likes of Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and even the Alto K10.
- The Santro will come with a roof-mounted rear spoiler, flared wheel arches, stylish headlamps and foglamps, and possibly a set of smart-looking wheels
- The Hyundai Santro will come with the company's signature cascading grille, a pair of sweptback headlamps, larger taillamps, and high mounted stop lights.
The Hyundai Santro will get touchscreen infotainment system
- The new Hyundai Santro will come with a two-tone beige and black interior trim. A similar colour treatment is expected for the fabric upholstery as well.
- The leaked images of the cabin also show a touchscreen infotainment system and it's likely that Apple Carplay and Android Auto will be part of the package. We also expect dual airbags and ABS with EBD to come as standard
- Hyundai has confirmed that the Santro hatchback will come with an automated manual transmission (AMT) system, the first Hyundai car to get one. Along with it, the car is also likely to get a 5-speed manual gearbox.
- On the engines front, it is likely to get a 1.1-litre petrol engine which will be tuned for good fuel efficiency. We won't be surprised, if Hyundai has been able to tune the engine to provide more than 20 kmpl
- The price is probably one of the biggest things to look forward to and knowing how aggressive Hyundai has been with past launches, the case will not be any different for the Santro. We expect the price of the Santro to start below Rs. 4 lakh while the top end model will, in all likelihood, be closer to the Rs. 5 lakh mark.
