The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 will be getting two additional colours later this year. The new shades - white and red - were available on the older models but was discontinued when the comprehensively revised version was introduced earlier this year. The 2019 Bajaj Dominar is currently available in Vine Black and an all-new Aurora Green shades, both of which are priced at Rs. 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The red shade hardly comes as surprising since it was already showcased in the Bajaj Auto's new global TVC back in January this year. The white colour scheme was introduced with the bike at the time of launch in late 2016.
For the 2019 model year, the Bajaj Dominar 400 has received extensive changes to the engine, suspension and the styling too. The 373 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine remains the same but has been upgraded to a DOHC set-up, which has helped extract more power from the motor at 39 bhp. Peak torque output remains the same at 35 Nm, and so does the 6-speed transmission.
The bike also gets a more sophisticated suspension set-up with USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Other changes include new split digital instrument console and a reworked headlamp cluster. The gold finished wheels were also replaced with the black and chrome finished alloy wheels.
Bajaj Auto addressed several key issues with the 2019 Dominar reducing the vibrations, and improving the power delivery, while thoughtful additions like the bungee strap below the pillion seat to mount luggage only adds to the tourer's capability. The new Dominar is about Rs. 10,000 more expensive than its predecessor, and expect prices for the new colours to remain same as the green and black versions.
