It Starts Under $10K
The Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been teasing North American buyers now for some time, but pricing for the model is finally up now, and it looks pretty darn good. The model has a starting price of $9,999 before taxes and any relevant fees.
The bike has been available in Europe for a while, but it’s getting closer to coming to the U.S. The Ténéré will come in three different colors. All of those colors are priced the same. There’s Ceramic Ice, Intensity White, and Matte Black.
The Ténéré 700 still won’t be out for quite some time. It is a 2021 model after all, but this new information about pricing is a good indicator that the day you’ll be able to buy one of these bikes in the U.S. is fast-approaching. The Ténéré 700 should be an important bike. It features a 689cc liquid-cooled twin-engine that’s fuel-injected and mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The bike has been designed to compete with the best adventure bikes out there.
RideApart notes that the Ténéré 700 will be cheaper than many of its competitors. The Ténéré beats the comparable KTM, Moto Guzzi, and BMW bikes. Suzuki manages to beat the less than $10K price tag with its base V-Strom, but then the Ténéré 700 should be a little more trail-ready than that bike. I can’t wait for this bike to hit dealerships.
