MG Motor India today announced that it has recorded retail sales of 3130 units in January 2020. The Hector continues to give the company the momentum it needs as it heads into the transition to BS6. The company had sold 3021 vehicles in December 2019 and January's numbers have certainly been encouraging. In fact, this is the third best sales numbers achieved by the company ever since its launch last year.

Commenting on the sales performance during the month, Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India, said, "The robust sales momentum of our first offering, the HECTOR, has been very encouraging. We are on track for BS VI transition in line with our brand belief of offering the latest technology to our customers. This transition will continue to happen over February and March 2020."
However, the company expects significant disruption in supply chain from European and Chinese/Asian suppliers which are likely to affect sales in February due to the Corona virus. The company is working towards ensuring that the impact on demand and supply is minimised.

MG Motor India is all set to usher in new products in 2020, the first of which will be the Gloster, a 7-seater SUV, which will be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. MG Motor India currently has nearly 200 centres across India and aims to further strengthen its network count to 250 centres by the end of March 2020.
