The Hyundai Tucson facelift was revealed at the 2018 New York Auto Show and the brand's Indian subsidiary is all set to bring the updated version later this year. The Hyundai Tucson facelift will be launched at the 2020 Auto Expo next month, carandbike can confirm. Hyundai India will announce prices for the updated Tucson at the biennial event and sales are expected to begin soon after. The changes on the Tucson facelift are extensive including the new cascading trapezoidal grille, sharper headlights with integrated L-shaped LED daytime running lights and a revised bumper with new fog lamp housing. The styling changes on the rear as well with the tweaked taillight cluster, new reflectors on the tailgate that is now in-line with the number plate recess.

Interior upgrades on the Hyundai Tucson facelift including the new centre console design with an eight-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with the air vents stacked below the unit. The instrument console has also been revised and the SUV comes with an electronic parking brake. The new Tucson will also come with second-row USB charging, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof and possibly the addition of a 360-degree camera. Other features expected include forward collision-avoidance assist, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and more.

The Hyundai Tucson is currently offered with a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options that will meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual while a 6-speed automatic transmission is also offered as an option. Hyundai could upgrade the automatic gearbox to the newly-developed 8-speed auto box. Internationally, the SUV also gets a 48-volt mild-hybrid system on the diesel engine and it will be interesting to see the Tucson get this version in India.
The Hyundai Tucson is presently priced from Rs. 18.76 lakh, going up to Rs. 27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and you can expect prices to go up by Rs. 50,000-100,000 depending on the variant.
