India has now entered into phase 4 of lockdown, but the number of COVID-19 cases across the country has been on the rise. The Centre has extended the nation-wide lockdown till May 31, 2020, to contain the spread of Coronavirus Pandemic. The Ministry of Home Affairs has released certain guidelines including new relaxations and certain restrictions, to tackle the deadly virus. The Indian government is taking all the necessary measures possible to fight against the COVID-19. Moreover, the Centre has mentioned that the delimitation of all three zones will be decided by the states and UTs in-line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

As the fourth phase of lockdown has begun on a positive note, several people in large numbers turned up on the streets of Noida in their cars causing heavy congestion at the toll booth on Delhi-Noida-Direct (DND) flyway. According to the report from ANI, massive traffic congestion is seen at DND flyway during the lockdown, which has been extended till May 31, to contain the spread of Coronavirus. The Ministry of Home Affairs has now allowed the inter-state travel of private passenger vehicles as well as buses across all three zones - green, orange and red. Also, plying of auto-rickshaws and taxis has also now been permitted in all the zones.
In its fight against the Coronavirus, the government has been urging the people to maintain social distancing from day one of lockdown. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has constantly asked the citizens to remain at home and help in breaking the chain. However, we have seen several incidents violating the rules and regulations set by the Centre.
As per the latest data shared by the Union Health Ministry, the number of cases affected by the Coronavirus has increased to 96,169 till Monday. However, the number of deaths raised to 3,029. Of the total number of cases, around 56,316 cases are currently active whereas 36,824 people have been treated and discharged.
